The piece of ancient oak was found preserved in a peat bog in the black forest area of Germany and is estimated to be at least 10,000 years old! To contrast the wood inside, the outside of the ring is sterling silver with a hammered texture and a patina from liver of sulphur.I enjoyed this project and I hope it inspires you to make something too.
